Introducing New BCC Membership Coordinator
Belfast Creative Coalition (BCC) earlier this year received a grant of $3,500.00 from the Arts Expansion Fund of the Maine Community Foundation to improve the organization’s membership program. This grant is in support of strengthening BCC’s capacity efforts for the arts and culture in the Belfast area. The use of these grant dollars will further enable BCC’s mission to cultivate the creative economy of Waldo County by strengthening both internal and external capacity, as well as its technical capacity to manage the membership database.
Receiving this grant also enables BCC to assign the role of Membership Coordinator to Julia Clapp (pictured). As Membership Coordinator, Julia now offers support to members and organizes their presence on the BCC website and BCC social media in order to promote their work. Julia is also the BCC Administrative Assistant, working with the Executive Director to assist with planning and organization. Julia was previously the Belfast Art Walk intern, first coming to Belfast Creative Coalition in 2014.
The Belfast Creative Coalition’s mission is to cultivate arts and culture to attract people and business to the Belfast area. BCC is a creative placemaking initiative doing community building through engaging a variety of cultural assets in the area, locally and regionally.
