Julie Richard, Executive Director of the Maine Arts Commission, was our guest speaker for the morning and gave us rousing pause as we reflected on where we are headed and what paths we chose to traverse.  Most of you stayed on after Richard’s presentation to participate in one of the 5 designated break out groups:  BCC Website, Cultivate, Belfast Arts, Promotions, and Coordination and Community Calender.  Jane Lafleur, from Friends of Midcoast Maine, then led the whole group in a facilitated input session that ending with the group coming back together and voting electronically for the top feedback suggestions. Top votes: make website more user friendly, attract more visitors to the area, organize pop-up venues, work on branding-name change, change the name of the calendar committee.

Committee groups are forming in each of the Break-Out areas! Please help out by continuing your volunteer efforts in working with your chosen group on the 4 points of highest impact and feasibility.
