Belfast Selected to Participate in a Nutrition and Lifestyle Health Study Survey
Belfast, Maine, is one of 25 towns in 25 states across the U.S. selected to participate in an epidemiological health study survey! In the 1990s, thousands of compounds, known as phytochemicals, were and continue to be discovered in our whole plant-based foods. These compounds have shown, in the lab and through other research studies, to have strong healing properties, affirming Hippocrates’ wisdom when centuries ago he said, “Let food be your medicine and medicine your food.”
If you are between the ages of 50 to 68 (baby boomer generation), and have resided in Belfast or Waldo County for a minimum of five years, we invite you to participate in this nutrition and lifestyle health study survey. It is a 3-page multiple choice survey that takes an average of 10 minutes to complete, and maintains the highest level of confidentiality and anonymity (no names).
Join us on Tuesday, September 9, 2014, anytime between 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Belfast Free Library, in the Abbott room, to participate in this important and unique research project. Copies of any publications of the combined results from all 500+ participants across the U.S. will be mailed to the City Managers and libraries of each town.
Please contact Karen Kibbey at 541-378-7199, for more information or with any questions. We look forward to including the citizens of Belfast in our research study! Your contribution to natural health and healing is greatly appreciated!
