Belfast Library Sketchers group
April 10 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
An event every month that begins at 2:00pm on day Second of the month, repeating until May 8, 2018
The Belfast Free Library’s sketchbook journaling group, “The Belfast Free Sketchers” meet on the second Tuesday of each month from 2-4PM in the Library’s Abbott Room. The group is free and open to the public and welcomes new participants of all levels of experience.
Sketchers bring their own materials and enjoy showing and talking about their drawings, writing, and related art. Telling stories, sharing creative process, and lots of laughing occurs in an encouraging and enthusiastic atmosphere. There is also free time for informal sharing and creating and sketchers follow individual directions.
The group has a new format. Instead of one facilitator members will take turns leading meetings. For January’s meeting, artist Leslie Miller invites participants to bring any and all brushes that they own for trying out and demonstrating.
Winter/Spring meetings will occur on February 13, March 13, April 10, and May 8. For more information call the library at 338-3884 ext. 10.
