Midcoast Actors’ Studio, recently voted the 2017 Best Theater in Waldo County (Best of the Best, Village Soup) announces the cast and crew of “Constellations,” the second show of its 2017 season. The Tony Award-nominated play by Nick Payne ran in London, as well as on Broadway with Jake Gyllenhaal and Ruth Wilson. “Constellations” is presented with special permission by Dramatists Play Service Inc., New York.

The production is directed by Jason Bannister, MAS’s Producing Artistic Director, who also plays the role of Roland. His wife Leah Bannister plays Marianne. MAS regular Jay Rosenberg handles the complex light and sound designs, while Greg Marsanskis, director of MAS’s first 2017 show “Shooting Star”, is the set designer. BAHS students Olivia Andrews and Dylan Mitchell will run the boards.

“Constellations” will be performed June 2-11 at the Troy Howard Stage, 173 Lincolnville Ave. in Belfast. Fridays and Saturdays are at 7:30 p.m.; and Sundays at 2 p.m. The play runs about 80 minutes and is performed without an intermission. The play has graphic language and is intended for mature audiences.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors over 65. Ages 35 and under are $10. MAS will offer a special opening night flat ticket price of $8.
