Belfast to be graced with award winning artists

Award winning musician as well as talented craftsman, Hawk Henries, will be performing during the upcoming “Gifts Galore” Holiday artisans market.  Hawk is well known, not only locally, but nationally and internationally as well, for his soothing melodies on the Native flutes that he so expertly fashions by hand.  As well as traditional Native music awards, one of Hawk’s flutes was chosen to be part of the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival Archives. “Typically we only collect pieces from Louisianans but your dedication to the craft, utilization of Native Louisiana Wood and the high quality of you work convinced us to add your Flute to our collection.”
Bill Davis, another artist with an illustrious career, will be present at the event selling his whimsically illustrated pottery.  Mr Davis. has worked for well known clients, such as Reading Rainbow, and Sesame Street (CTW) as well as winning a CINE Golden Eagle educational award for an animated film, a Golden Hugo award for film, and one of the series that he worked on for Marlo Thomas, won an emmy.
Award winning photographer, Shelagh Delphyne will also be present with her majestic nature shots as well as her books.
Many of these artists have work in a variety of galleries and museums.
The caliber and variety of work that will be presented at this event is of the highest quality; whether it is hand dipped beeswax candles, hand-crafted woolens, hand made soaps, jewelry, pottery, leather or wood products, there will be something to suit everyone’s budget, taste and needs.
Throughout the event, there will also be a raffle table with items kindly donated by each of the exhibitors.  Part of the proceeds from this raffle will be donated to the area food bank.
