Members of the Mid-Coast Art Guild will be presenting a new art show entitled, “Reflections”, for the month of June in the Kramer Gallery at the Belfast Free Library, 106 High Street.
The world around us is full of reflections of objects and colors. They may be found in the lake, on the teapot, in a mirror, in a mud puddle, and a myriad of others locations. One may also indulge in reflection or serious reviewing of things past.
Guild artists selected subjects that captured their interests on the theme of “Reflections” and set their brushes to work to paint them. On display in the exhibit will be paintings of reflections from Europe to Yosemite National Park.
The Mid-Coast Art Guild currently has a full roster of 14 artists that meet weekly to learn new techniques and practice their skills. They are, as follows: Norma Cowan, Linda Jewell, and Gail Smith from Belfast; Nancy Blatz and Sharon Smith from Monroe; Alisemarie Parsloe, Betty Harriman, Judy Simpson, Jean Nolan, and Jean Rich from Northport; Karen Cousins from Orland; Susan Gilby from Searsmont; and Carole Magner and Donna Hanish from Stockton Springs.
