If you walk around Downtown Belfast frequently enough you are sure to run into Bugsy, a friendly pooch who has been depicted in this bench created by Issac Wright of Belfast. Using reclaimed materials of old wood and a lobster trap, you can rest you feet down by the harbor under the shade of a birch tree by the Belfast Come Boating house.

Please, Be Seated is in its fifth year under the coordination of Our Town Belfast, a project that brings public art in the form of seats and benches to the streets of downtown Belfast. Local artists and craftspeople submit their designs for approval.  Using a wide range of materials and creative ideas, the chosen seats are funded by local business partners and the City of Belfast and installed on the sidewalks and in the parks from June through October.
