The Finch Gallery, located at 16 Main Street in Belfast, is a new venture by established artist Jerri Finch. The Finch Gallery will offer a collection of original oils by the artist, as well as, prints, posters,cards, and postcards. It is situated between Federal and Main, behind the Consumers Fuel Company.
Jerri Finch was born August 4, 1952 in Morristown, New Jersey.
She began her formal training at Trenton State College. From there she studied bronze sculpting and life drawing at the Philadelphia College of Art, and Montclair State College, as well Independent Studies in Santa Rosa, California. 2009-2011 founded her intensive study with Kerstin Engman, Advanced Color Theory and Advanced Oil Painting.
Featured in DownEast Magazine, Fiber Arts, and American Craft Magazine, her work is held in private collections across the country, and in the public buildings including the Mc. PUC Building, the University of ME, MBNA, the State of Vermont, and AIG in Hamilton, Bermuda.
Jerri Finch, who resides in Belfast, is known for creating intensely saturated and graphic imagery celebrating both the natural and inner worlds. For the past 35 years she has lived and painted in Belfast, Maine.
