Abbie Read’s work on display this summer at the Belfast Free Library and more!

From artist and BCC member Abbie Read:

You can see my work at a number of different venues this summer. In June I will have collages on view at CRAFT Gallery, 12 Elm Street, in Rockland, as well as at NoRo Gallery, at the corner of Cedar and Brewster Streets in Rockland. Check their websites for more information and for open hours. Both galleries will be open this Friday night, June 2 for Rockland Art Walk, 5-7. I’m sorry I won’t be at either one. I will be in France on an artist residency in Normandy!
In July, beginning the 6th, I will have a solo show in the lobby of the Belfast Free Library, Main Street, Belfast, Maine. That show will remain up until the end of August when an expanded version will travel to the Frank Brockman Gallery, 68 Maine Street, Brunswick, Maine for the month of September. The opening for the Brunswick show is September 9, from 5-8. Come one, come all! This one is a BIG DEAL as I will have all 40 feet of the wall sculpture called Library on view as well as a lot of other work (it’s a rather BIG space!).

In August I will also be installing a show in Bangor, at the Rock and Art Shop’s Sohn’s Gallery on Center Street, downtown. You can see collages on view there for the month of August. I will be giving an artist talk on the evening of the 25th. The Rock and Art Shop is open every day, from 10 until 5 and it is a very fun place to visit..

Then…in September through most of October the Epilogues show, which was at Lesley University in March and April, will again be installed at the Catamount Center for the Arts, in St. Johnsbury, VT. I’ll be traveling there once in August to deliver the work, then again the weekend of September 156 for the opening and artist talk and again later on October to pick up the work. If anyone wants to take a road trip with me, let me know!

Lastly, if you happen to be driving across Maine on 302, through Casco, stop in at mars de Sol Gallery where you will find an eclectic mix of work, including some of mine.
