(BELFAST, ME) The Belfast Creative Coalition (BCC) invites you to join us at the BCC Annual Meeting on March 11, 2016 in the Fallout Shelter at Waterfall Arts in Belfast. The meeting will start at 8:45 a.m. with coffee and networking. Speakers begin at 9 a.m. and the meeting goes until noon. If you are a local artist, performer, writer, cultural leader or participant, or simply have an interest in your local arts community, come and learn more about our creative economy and join us in creating a cultural plan for the Belfast area.
Guest speakers are Julie Richard, Executive Director of the Maine Arts Commission. Richard will give a talk on cultural plans and their value to communities. Dee Schneidman, from New England Foundation for the Arts (NEFA), will speak about the creative economy in New England and give a presentation on their online directory of New England’s creatives enterprises and artists called Creative Ground. NEFA will be offering office hours after the annual meeting for organizations and individuals that want to add their listings to the Creative Ground site. Sign up ahead of time for your time slot.
BCC invites all local cultural leaders and creatives (artists, dancers, poets, designers, actors, etc) and the public to the BCC Annual Meeting. Please join us in a celebration of accomplishments as well as new visioning for the future work for arts and culture. We greatly appreciate your input and invite you to be a part of the Coalition!
