February 2 @ 10:00 am - April 6 @ 12:00 pm
February 2@10:00 am – April 6@12:00 pm
Join us for an Art Together Morning workshop with Bridget Matros! The next session of ATMs will take place on Saturday February 2, March 2, and April 6 from 10:00am-12:00pm. Sign up for one, two, or all three!
Art Together Mornings is a series of memorable mornings where adult and child create side-by-side! Each project is designed to fully engage all ages and stages; parents get their hands dirty enjoying the materials, while being guided with tips on supporting their young artists’ creativity. Each adult-child group takes home whatever they make as a keepsake of their special morning. Through the Art Together Mornings series, families explore a variety of activities and feel the benefits of the unique experience of focused time spent creating together.
Art Together Mornings is led by Bridget Matros, Waterfall Art’s Youth & Family Outreach Coordinator. Matros came to Waterfall Arts with over 15 years of teaching art at every level and setting — from preschool circle-time to computer literacy classes for the elderly. A practicing artist herself, Matros developed and grew the Art Studio exhibit and program at the Boston Children’s Museum, is a published advocate for quality creative development in early childhood education, and has been deemed one of 21 “young leaders in arts education” by Harvard scholars.
Art Together Mornings, part of the Youth & Family Outreach Program at Waterfall Arts, are made possible by local business sponsors The Green Store, Little River Veterinary Hospital, Sundog Solar, and VeloInk. Additional support is provided by foundations such as the Onion Foundation, Davis Family Foundation, Anonimo, and the Maine Arts Commission, as well as individual donors.
Due to large crowds, the Art Together Mornings series is now first come, first served – in order to enjoy our program, please REGISTER online using the form at http://waterfallarts.org/event/art-together-mornings/ or by phone to have spots saved! Limit 26 bodies in the Bridge studio (Grown ups count!).
There is a suggested $15 fee for this event, but we want it to be accessible to all. Pay what you can!
