“How the Beatles Changed Everything” at Belfast Free Library

The Libraries Rock! Summer Lecture Series continues at the Belfast Free Library on Monday, July 30th at 6:30 pm with a talk by Neal Harkness titled, How The Beatles Changed Everything.

Neal Harkness has been a fan and student of American popular music his whole life. He has written on the subject for a number of publications and was a rock music programmer oncommunity radio station WERU-FM. Neal’s courses on the history of rock and roll have been very popular at Senior College in Belfast.

His talk will feature examples of the influence the Beatles had on other musicians and discuss how they changed not just the course of popular music but also examine the influence they had in film, fashion, politics and other areas, from haircuts to hare krishna.
