‘Maine’s Environmental Challenges on Earth Day 2018’ at the Belfast Free Library

April 19 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Maine’s Environmental Challenges on Earth Day 2018:  Defense, Progress, and Plans
sponsored by the Belfast Bay Watershed Coalition, will take place on Thursday, April 19, at 6:30 pm at the Belfast Library.

Lisa Pohlmann, PhD, executive director of the Natural Resources Council of Maine, has her finger on the pulse of Maine’s water, land, and air. She will catch us up on what has been going on in Maine up to now, currently, and what is likely to happen in the future.

The Natural Resources Council of Maine is the statewide watchdog for our natural treasures, forests, climate, water, air, and land. The Council litigates on behalf of the natural world, and is the body we can thank for keeping Maine “the Way Life Should Be.” It doesn’t just happen. Much, much hard work, legal intelligence, and dogged determination are what have preserved our natural heritage. Bring your questions about Maine’s environment. For more information, please visit us at belfastbaywatershed.org

The Belfast Bay Watershed Coalition works to support conservation and stewardship of natural, scenic, and public access resources of the Belfast Bay watershed through research, community-building, and education.
