An exciting evening of openings and events all around downtown Belfast.
You may eat, drink and frolic on the streets of downtown Belfast on September 6. Maine Farmland Trust will host MaineFare 2013 on the streets of downtown Belfast. An annual event celebrating Maine’s food and farm scene an opportunity to explore and experience local food and farms in many, many ways. General Admission to Maine Fare is FREE —although you’ll want to bring an appetite and money to buy great food from participating farmers and other vendors. Portals: Environmental Art Installations opens at Waterfall Arts. Portals will engage the audience in a dialogue about environmental sustainability and includes artists: Joline Blais, Krisanne Baker, Nancy Manter, and Barbara Andrus. Waterfall Arts is located at 256 High Street.
Gilbert Welch, fine art photographer, will exhibit a collection of his palladium photographs at the Betts The opening reception for the show entitled Landscapes in Palladium, will be held Friday, September 6th at the Betts Gallery from 5:30-8:00 pm. Åarhus Gallery is pleased to have one of their own, Willy Reddick, as their guest artist for the month of September with a show entitled, “Sustenance”. This show runs from September 3rd through September 29th, 2013. The public is invited to an opening reception Friday September 6th, 5-8pm. Åarhus Gallery is located at 50 Main St. Belfast and is open Tuesday through Sunday 11am-5:30pm, and Mondays by chance. For more information click here.
