Stop by Waterfall Arts’ Open House between 2:00 and 5:00pm. Waterfall Arts is inviting the community to drop by and experience all that they do throughout their building! There will be free artmaking activities for all ages, studio tours, food, and more.
Then, check out the 13th Annual Belfast Poetry Festival at the Troy Howard Middle School from 6:00 to 8:00pm. The annual celebration features choral and instrumental music, live readings, projected artwork, multimedia presentations, and more. (In addition to the festival’s main programming, former Belfast Poet Laureate Linda Buckmaster and other poets will present a Pop-Up Poetry Reading open mic. The reading will take place from 2 pm – 3:30 pm at The Belfast Free Library.)
OR, enjoy a play! The Belfast Maskers will present their production of ‘On Golden Pond’ at the First Church at 7:00pm. ‘On Golden Pond’ is a funny and bittersweet story about the complex, deeply felt ties binding one American family together. This play will be performed October 6th, 7th, 8th,13th, 14th, and 15th (Fridays and Saturdays at 7:00pm and Sundays at 2:00pm), so if you can’t make it on the 14th you have lots of other chances!
Then, head over to United Farmer’s Market of Maine for Colburn Shoe Store’s 185th Anniversary Party! The celebration will take place from 6:00 to 10:00pm. Rollies Bar and Grill will be catering and have a cash bar, with live music from Chris Ross and the North.
