The Brooks Historical Society – The town of Brooks boasts a rich history of nearly two hundred years. This history is collected, ordered, saved, and promoted by the society.
The Pilley House was donated to the Brooks Historical Society by Bob Elliott, whose family plays a prominent role in the development of Brooks. The house serves as a place t0 store and display items and stories that relate to the history of Brooks.
The society very much appreciates any financial help to help us to preserve Brooks history and make it available.
Meetings are held at 6:30 pm at the Huxford House (24 Moosehead Trail) on the first Sunday of each month. Everyone is welcome. The Brooks Historical Society is a member of the Maine Association of Museums (MAM).
