At Gail Savitz – Front Street Pottery you’ll find giant frogs, owls and porcelain eggs for the garden.
You’ll see hand-built teapots from a series called “Profile in Tea”along with wheel-thrown teapots. There are also small sculptural pieces including figures and candlesticks, vases, wheel-thrown and hand-built, as well as functional work including bowls, pitchers, mugs, sushi platters, and plates.
Gail’s work has been shown , in Rockland at CRAFT, and Carver Hill Gallery, at the “The Work Of Hand” show at the Center for Maine Contemporary Art in Rockport, New Era Gallery in Vinalhaven, and at High Street Gallery in Belfast. A photograph of Savitz’s tea set with tray entitled “In the Deep Deep Woods” was included in Larks Book, “500 Teapots”.
