Peter Walls

My work is the manifestation of the beauty and mystery I find in my interactions with the natural world. Through the process of experimentation with: pigments, found materials, color and texture, my images are “built” to reveal a narrative for: fish, birds and other living organisms. These ethereal images are creations, composites of my many years of being involved with the decorative arts and my printmaking past; this series is a true marriage of my love of nature and my artistic background.

Peter has a BFA in sculpture and printmaking from NYSCC at Alfred University and his MFA in Fine Art / Printmaking from Louisiana State University. He has taught at: university level, The League of New Hampshire Craftsmen, workshops, and privately spanning over a 25+ year career. His work can be found in public and private collections throughout the United States and abroad.

Peter’s work can be found at Local Color Gallery, Betts Gallery, and at Sonya’s Skincare in Belfast, Maine. He also shows at Makers’ Market Shop and Studio in Brooksville, Maine and Salt Air Gallery in Rockland, Maine.
