The UMaine Hutchinson Center Fernald Art Gallery was officially opened in 2000. Exhibits consist of local artists showing their work for approximately four months, changing three times a year. These exhibits usually hold free receptions open to the public at the beginning of each new exhibit. The Hutchinson Center also hosts the annual Senior Festival of Arts and co-sponsor the annual RSU 20 Student Art Exhibit in May of each year.
