Creating the Future: Art & Social Change
Your Organization Could Participate in the 22nd Annual HOPE Festival! This event, showcasing organizations’ work and projects to promote peace, will take place on Saturday, April 23, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Student Recreation and Fitness Center at the University of Maine in Orono.
From the HOPE Festival website:
‘The visual and performing arts are crucial to our work for peace, justice, and sustainability – they are inspiring, provoking, healing, and just plain fun. We will listen to poetry, create sculpture, sing and dance, and contemplate art!
All this, plus our annual organizational fair, with more than 60 organizations showcasing their work for a better world, an interactive children’s space, and delicious food from local vendors.
To be part of the organizational fair, please fill out and submit a table application form by April 1, 2016. Tables for student groups are offered at a reduced rate.
Register as early as possible to ensure the best location, reserve limited backdrops and electrical connections, and be included in our outreach materials.’
You can also place an ad in the HOPE program booklet, become a sponsor, or volunteer for the event!
