Twice before this legislation has passed both in the House and the Senate only to die on the appropriations table or be vetoed by the Governor.

The Governor’s budget includes allowing municipalities to apply property tax to nonprofits. Ironically, this could very well be an argument in  favor. The fiscal note on this bill is minor – $5-8,000 – but will make a BIG difference in nonprofit operating budgets.
