The Department of Art at Colby College invites applications for a one-year teaching position in printmaking at the rank of Faculty Fellow beginning September 2017. This position has the possibility of renewal. A completed M.F.A., teaching experience at the college level, and a record of creative scholarship are required. A teaching load of 2/2 will cover all levels of the traditional printmaking curriculum–intaglio, relief, lithography, etc.–as well as digital printmaking and design.
We also expect candidates to be well versed in and committed to using green/non-toxic methods and materials. Our facilities include a printmaking studio, a digital teaching lab, and a dedicated library of art and music. The successful candidate will have opportunities to participate in Colby’s Mellon-funded initiative in the environmental humanities and to engage with the deep print collections at the Colby College Museum of Art.
